Starting and Running Better Giving Circles

Patchwork Lives Giving Circle Interview

by Sharon

Kathy Shimpcock, founder of Patchwork Lives Giving Circle, has found that her commitment to the circle is what keeps it going year after year. I love how their giving circle is organized around service projects that take place throughout the year. Members donate their time and/or money to completing projects like providing bags of supplies to homeless families. Outside of their service projects, they don’t donate money.

We also talk a bit about the pros and cons of being a 501c3 and not being a 501c3. Enjoy this interview about this unique and casual giving circle.
