Lorraine Henning, grants coordinator of the Eau Claire Community Foundation, spoke with me about the giving circle created by her foundation. In 2007, the director thought a giving circle would be a great addition to the foundation, and after networking with people in the community and current foundation members, launched with 60 members. Since then, they’ve had great success with the giving circle and would even like to launch additional giving circles around different issues.
