Starting and Running Better Giving Circles

Birmingham Change Fund Interview

by Sharon

Ed Fields, chairman, graciously spoke with me about the Birmingham Change Fund, a giving circle composed mainly of young African American professionals. We talked about the 3 year commitment members make to the circle, why they’ve stayed small, and how they responded to a local tornado. He also has great advice for starting a circle and getting connected with a host.
