The Community Investment Network is a national network of giving circles. They focus on helping African Americans and communities of color start and run giving circles so they can make their neighborhoods a better place.
I’ve had the honor and pleasure of interviewing a number of their giving circles and have been following their blog ever since. I really appreciate their blog, because it shares the voices of people involved in philanthropy at a very personal level.
It’s not 10,000 foot philanthropy. It’s philanthropy in people’s daily lives and neighborhoods and how it makes them feel.
Here is one their recent interviews: Making a difference: 10 questions for Beverly Guillory Andry
I hope you enjoy their blog, and if you’re interested in their help or one of their giving circles, I’m sure they’d be happy to hear from you.
