Starting and Running Better Giving Circles

A Legacy of Tradition Giving Circle Interview

by Sharon

Giving Circles are not just for women. A Legacy of Tradition is a giving circle made up of African American men, and they focus on supporting the African American men and boys in their community. I was really excited to find out about this giving circle, because I see so much focus in the philanthropic world on women. I’ve wondered will men get left behind? Well, here are men stepping up to help other men.

Darrell Kain and I chatted about what men find appealing about giving circles, the fellowship they’ve created, and their grant process.
